Genre:
Genre is a way of categorising a particular sound according to its content and style.
I have considered a number of genres whilst planning my music video for my A2 coursework.
The genres I have looked at are:
- Indie
- Rock
- Disco
- Funk
- R&B
- Alternative Rock
- Electronic Rock
- Soul
I looked over a variety of different genres to help look at different music videos and the artists with that certain genre.
After much consideration to my genre I have decided to choice a mixture of Rock music which will help me decide on a song which will have been performed by numerous artists such as ‘Red Hot Chili Peppers’, ‘Muse’, ‘Coldplay’ and ‘Michael Jackson’.
I like how you explored an extremely wide range of genres before choosing your genre; it shows that this was important aspect when in relation to your music video.
